Back in March, Xiaomi’s Redmi sub-brand announced new Redmi Note 10 series phones to take on the best cheap Android phones from Samsung and Realme. Redmi has now launched the Redmi Note 10S in India, an upgraded version of the vanilla Redmi Note 10.

The latest addition to the Redmi Note 10 family from Xiaomi has a 6.43-inch AMOLED display with FHD + resolution, a 180 Hz touch sampling rate and a centered hole-punch cutout for the 13-megapixel selfie camera . The phone is powered by the gaming-focused Helio G95 processor from MediaTek with an ARM Mali-G76 MC4 GPU and 6 GB LPDDR4X RAM.

On the back of the Redmi Note 10S is a quad camera setup with a 64-megapixel main sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2-megapixel macro lens, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. Just like the more expensive Redmi Note 10 Pro Max, the phone also supports 4K video recording. Other important features of the Redmi Note 10S are a 5,000 mAh battery with 33 W fast charge, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, two speakers, a built-in IR blaster and splash resistance according to IP53. The phone comes with Android 11-based MIUI 12.5.

The Redmi Note 10S will be available in India in two memory configurations: 6 GB / 64 GB and 6 GB / 128 GB. While the 64GB version will retail for £ 14,999 ($ 204), the 128GB version was retailed for £ 15,999 ($ 217). It will be available starting May 18th at Mi.com, Mi Home Stores, Amazon India and select offline retailers across the country.

In addition to the Redmi Note 10S, Xiaomi has also launched the Redmi Watch in India. The smartwatch has a 1.4-inch display with a resolution of 320 x 320 and more than 200 watch faces. It offers a total of 11 sport modes, continuous heart rate monitoring and 5 water resistances at the ATM. Redmi claims that the smartwatch can last up to 10 days on a single charge and it takes less than 2 hours to fully charge.

The Redmi Watch was priced at just £ 3,999 ($ 54) in India, which makes it much cheaper than the best Android smartwatches. It’s slated to be available in Mi.com, Flipkart and Mi Home stores across the country from May 25th.
