Xiaomi Mi Mix Fold could soon be launched outside of China as the smartphone was reportedly discovered in the global and Indian IMEI databases. Mi Mix Fold is Xiaomi’s first foldable smartphone and competes with the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 and Huawei Mate X2. The U-shaped hinge foldable phone is currently available in China.
According to a tweet from tipster Mukul Sharma, the Xiaomi Mi Mix Fold was discovered in the global IMEI database with the model number M2011J18G, with G supposedly representing “global”. This means the phone is likely to hit the market outside of China, the tipster claims, adding that it’s also listed on India’s IMEI database – but that’s no guarantee that it will actually make it in the country.
Xiaomi has not published any information in this regard. Indeed, the Chinese tech giant is preparing to launch the Mi 11X and Mi 11 series, which will consist of the Mi 11, Mi 11 Pro and Mi 11 Ultra smartphones in the country on April 23, Xiaomi has already launched the Mi Mix Fold in China. The Mi 11X series is said to have Mi 11X and Mi 11X Pro smartphones which are believed to be renamed Redmi K40 and Redmi K40 Pro +, respectively.

The Mi Mix Fold price was set to 9,999 CNY (approx. 1.15,600 Rs.) For the basic storage version with 12 GB + 256 GB, for the 12 GB + 512 GB storage configuration to 10,999 CNY (approx. 1.27,000 Rs .) And 12,999 CNY (about 1.99 Rs.) Fixed 1.50,000) for the premium storage option 16 GB + 512 GB.
Mi Mix Fold specifications
Mi Mix Fold is Xiaomi’s first phone to feature the proprietary Surge C1 image signal processor (ISP) and Liquid Lens technology. The phone has a U-shaped hinge design that is designed to undergo 200,000 bends in reliability tests and up to a million bends in extreme reliability tests. There is a flexible 8.01-inch WQHD + LED OLED display with 900 nits of peak brightness and an aspect ratio of 4: 3. The cover display measures 6.5 inches and the AMOLED panel has a resolution of 840x 2,520 pixels, an aspect ratio of 27: 9 and a peak brightness of 700 nits.
Under the hood, Mi Mix Fold has an octa-core SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 as well as up to 16 GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512 GB UFS 3.1 storage. The smartphone also has a triple rear camera that contains a primary Samsung HM2 sensor with 108 megapixels. It is supplemented by an 8-megapixel secondary sensor with liquid lens technology and a 13-megapixel sensor with a f / 2.4 ultra-wide-angle lens. There is a 20-megapixel selfie camera sensor on the front.
Xiaomi has provided a dual-cell 5020 mAh battery for Mi Mix Fold that supports 67W fast charging. Mi Mix Fold also includes quad speakers tuned by Harman Kardon. Mi Mix Fold runs on Android 10 with MIUI 12. The phone also has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
