The Realme Q series, teased by the company’s executive director, strikes a balance between price and performance

The Realme Q-series smartphone models were teased by a senior executive as being value for money. Management announced that the Realme Q-series phones won’t be as powerful as the Realme GT-series phones, but they will be good value for money. The Realme GT series is the company’s newest flagship, which includes the Realme GT and Realme GT Neo. At this time, the company has not disclosed any details about the new Q-series phones.

The Realme GT series offers flagship specs at a reasonable price, albeit cheaper than some other flagship offerings on the market. With its new Q series of smartphones, Realme wants to deliver more affordable smartphones that offer even more value in terms of price and performance, said Realme product director Wang Wei Derek on Weibo. While these Q-series smartphones won’t be as powerful as the Realme GT-series, both the Realme Q-series and Realme GT-series together could please a wider audience.

Derek didn’t share specific details about the Realme Q series of smartphones and it’s unclear when they’ll break cover. Realme GT, on the other hand, is slated to roll out in India next month, Realme India Chief Marketing Officer Francis Wong teases.

Realme recently launched the Realme C20, Realme C21 and Realme C25 in India. These phones start at an entry-level price of Rs. 6,999 and offer entry-level specs as well. Realme C series smartphones are known for their affordable prices and reasonable specifications. However, the Realme Q series seems to offer better specs compared to the Realme C series.

Interestingly, back in September 2019 in China, the company released a phone called the Realme Q, which was renamed the Realme 5 Pro. Where this Realme Q is in the upcoming Realme Q series remains to be seen.
