Reviews of OnePlus’ first smartwatch are in, and boy, are they tough. Reviewers have largely ripped the device apart, criticizing the apparent lack of software polish while praising some of its hardware. Our own Harish Jonnalagadda complained in his OnePlus Watch test that the device only offers limited support for notifications, no third-party app support and no permanently displayed display. The latter is the point of a watch. Despite the bad reviews, the watch still seems to be in high demand by many as it apparently sold out within a minute of its launch.
If you look at the OnePlus website, you will find that the watch is currently out of stock. Whether this was due to low starting inventory or actually high sales volume is unclear, but it seemed like enough people wanted to rid OnePlus of its original batch. Reddit users complained that they couldn’t buy one the moment the device went on sale, indicating that it sold out quickly.

Even a cursory glance at the OnePlus Watch reviews shows how unpolished this device appears to be. Gizmodo gave the OnePlus Watch a negative rating:
It’s rare for a flagship gadget to fail on every front and yet the OnePlus watch managed to pull it off … when I sat down to write this review, I wondered if it was too tough Made to call this the worst smartwatch ever. After all, it could at least deliver notifications. My wrist then buzzed with anger from a thousand angry bees as I simultaneously received 40 notifications for emails sent four hours earlier. It is impossible to overstate how bad this smartwatch is at its job.
Engadget suggested you are better off buying one of Fitbit’s best fitness trackers:
At $ 159, the OnePlus watch is certainly affordable, but it would have felt half-hearted even in 2018. If you are looking for a cheap watch for your Android phone that can reliably track your fitness and last about a week, consider a lower one. cost Fitbit like the Charge 4 instead. Even the older Versa would serve you well.
Even Michael Fisher preferred to switch back to one of the best Wear OS watches, although OnePlus chose not to use the platform for better battery life.
If you are looking for the best cheap Android smartwatch it is not, even if you can get an additional $ 20 discount on the OnePlus website. We might recommend it at some point when OnePlus has more features and polish. However, if you don’t want to try and buy one, please see the link below. Otherwise, it might be worth checking out the much cheaper Mobvoi TicWatch GTH that has just been launched.
