Dell has announced its newest 2-in-1 convertible with a magnetic keyboard – the Latitude 7320 Detachable. A quick look at the design and it can be said without a doubt that Dell’s new machine has the Microsoft Surface Pro 7 as its main competitor. However, the Dell offering includes some upgrades such as: B. a faster processor, two Thunderbolt 4 ports and a fast charging pen.
The detachable Latitude 7320 is equipped with a 13-inch FHD + touch-sensitive display with a blue light filter layer and Gorilla Glass 6 DX for protection. The bezels are significantly thinner than what the Microsoft rival has to offer, while the maximum brightness output is 500 nits. According to Dell, the new convertible has a MIL-STD-certified construction, while the battery inside can increase from 0 to 80% in just one hour thanks to the proprietary ExpressCharge technology.
Connectivity is ensured via 4G LTE (optional), WiFi 6 of the gigabit class and two Thunderbolt 4 type C ports. Microsoft, on the other hand, skipped the Thunderbolt standard on its Surface 7 Pro, citing security threats. Back to the Dell computer: The detachable Latitude 7320 also supports Windows Hello login via an IR camera and can also be equipped with a fingerprint reader and a SmartCard reader (both optional).
The detachable Dell Latitude 7320 can be configured with an 11th generation Intel Core i7-1185G7 vPro process with Iris Xe graphics. And oh, the device is also Intel Evo certified, which means it meets certain core criteria, such as: B. an alarm time of less than a second, support for fast charging and a battery life of more than 9 hours. It is possible to equip it with up to 16 GB RAM and 512 GB SSD.
The detachable keyboard, which Dell sells separately, has a dedicated docking slot for the pen. Dell claims the pen can be fully juiced in just 30 seconds via wireless charging in the keyboard slotand lasts up to 90 minutes on a single charge. The Latitude 7320 Detachable’s keyboard and stylus garage design are similar to what Microsoft did with the Surface Pro X.
The Latitude 7320 detachable 2-in-1 device starts at $ 1,549 in the US, according to Dell for the basic version with only 4 GB RAM, 128 GB memory and an Intel Core i3 processor. If you want the more powerful Core i7 configuration, you’ll have to spend at least $ 2,159, which is pretty high even by Microsoft Surface Pro standards.
