With the Galaxy Z Fold 2, Samsung finally managed to create a great foldable phone without any glaring hardware issues. And if the rumors are to be believed, its successor – temporarily called the Galaxy Z Fold 3 – will arrive with some important improvements such as a camera under the display and the support of S Pen among others. Now, alleged images of the Galaxy Z Fold 3 that appear to have been removed from presentation or marketing materials have surfaced online, giving us a glimpse into its fresh design.
Samsung has increased the resolution of the Galaxy Z Fold 3’s selfie cameras to keep them sharp.

In terms of aesthetics, the camera module looks different than any Samsung flagship we’ve seen in the past few years. In fact, it bears a strong resemblance to the Xperia line of Sony flagship phones – thanks to a vertically oriented lens array housed in a pill-shaped camera bump. According to the leakster who goes by the username Anthony (@TheGalox_), The Galaxy Z Fold 3 will be available in three colors – gray, black and white.
The biggest change, however, is the arrival of a camera under the display on the inner foldable panel. It is rumored that Samsung has been experimenting with this technology for some time, and it seems that the impressive technical performance will find its way to the Galaxy Z Fold 3. Samsung won’t be the first, however, as ZTE has already launched a phone with a camera under the display, but the end product wasn’t that stellar.
The leakster goes on to mention that Samsung will launch a hybrid S pen for the Galaxy Z Fold 3. However, the foldable phone doesn’t have a case slot like the Galaxy Note series phones and takes the route of the Galaxy S21 Ultra. A 4,400 mAh battery is supposed to keep the light on and also support 25 W fast charging.
As with previous leaks, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 will feature a 5.4-inch cover display with a resolution of 2260 x 816 pixels, while the inner foldable panel measures 7.77 inches diagonally. Interestingly, the upcoming foldable Samsung is set to cost the same as its predecessor and is expected to debut in the third quarter of 2021, although some rumors are also predicting an official debut in June.
