The Samsung Galaxy M42 5G smartphone runs on Android 11-based One UI 3.1. It has a 6.6-inch HD + Super AMOLED Infinity-U display. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G SoC with up to 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. The memory can be expanded up to 1 TB via the microSD card slot. As mentioned earlier, the handset has Knox security and Samsung Pay.

In the optics department, the Samsung Galaxy M42 5G has a quad rear camera setup with a 48-megapixel GM2 primary camera.
