Next to the Narzo 30A and Narzo 30 Pro 5G With smartphones, Realme also launched the Realme Buds Air 2 on the Indian market. These new Buds Air 2 are the successor to the company’s first truly wireless earbuds – Realme Buds Air. In India, the Realme Buds Air 2 will retail for Rs.3,299. The second generation Buds Air are Rs 700 cheaper than Realme’s original TWS earbuds that launched last year.

The Realme Buds Air 2 will go on sale March 2nd through Flipkart and Realme.com. When you open the package, you immediately see the charging case with the earbuds placed inside. Also included are the operating instructions, the USB charging cable type A to type C and two additional pairs of interchangeable silicone tips. The IPX5 rating also makes this sweatproof.

In contrast to the original Realme Buds Air, the second generation earphones have silicone tips for an individual fit and passive noise suppression. The Realme Buds Air 2 are available in the color options Close Black and Closer White. However, the protruding stem of these white earbuds has a shiny metallic finish. While the company thinks the chrome-like finish is eye-catching, I think it makes them look a little strange.

Although the charging case is made of plastic, it doesn’t feel fragile. The charging case and the two earbuds weigh only 42.7 grams, and the Realme logo and notification LED light up on the front of the case. The pairing button is on the right. In addition, the Realme Buds Air 2 is equipped with the latest Bluetooth 5.2 and supports Google’s fast pairing to simplify pairing with Android smartphones.

Simply open the charging case and instantly pair it with your smartphone with a single touch of a button. First and foremost, users need to download and install the Realme Link in order to make any adjustments. The Realme Buds Air 2 is also one of the most affordable TWS earphones with Active Noise Canceling (ANC). It mentions filtering up to 25 decibels of noise reduction.

Speaking of battery life: the earphones alone last up to 5 hours. The combination of earphones and charging case offers a total of up to 25 hours of playback time with the ANC switched off (up to 22.5 hours with the ANC switched on). These new earbuds also support fast charging. Get up to 120 minutes of playback with a quick 10 minute charge. Inside the Realme Buds Air 2 is the brand new Realme R2 chip.

The company also opted for the Diamond-class 10mm HiFi driver for richer bass and clearer sound. Similar to the older TWS headphones from Realme, the new Buds Air 2 also has a special low-latency mode of just 88 ms for gaming. Touch controls on the device include double tap to play / pause and answer / end calls, and triple tap to skip tracks and decline calls. Users can press and hold either earbud for 2 seconds to toggle between ANC and transparency modes.

To toggle game mode on and off, the user must press and hold both earbuds. With all of the above specs and a few hours of hands-on experience, the Realme Buds Air 2 seems like the best deal on a pair of TWS earbuds with ANC support. The earphones offer a rich bass and sound quality as well as a long battery life. In particular, the Realme Buds Air 2 with two microphones also offers excellent call quality.
