Get one year of free Google Care + and other benefits by becoming a Pixel Superfan

Do you consider yourself a Google Pixel super fan? Do you enjoy getting first Android updates along with quarterly feature drops? Are you excited to use a phone with the standard version of Android?
If you answered yes to all three of the above, you should be on the lookout for new invitations Google asks if you’d like to join the Pixel Superfans Community. An email shared and read by Google 9to5Google says that among the perks offered to members of this community, Pixel Superfans will get access to special events, similar to a tour that took place through the Google Store Chelsea last year, a day before the site officially opened.
Last year, Google sent prints of the deconstructed Pixel 5, Pixel 4a, 5G, and Pixel 4a to superfans as a Christmas gift. Community members can also participate in Q&A sessions with members of the Pixel product teams and have the opportunity to provide Google feedback on Pixel phones.
You don’t have to be a super fan to be amazed by the upcoming Pixel 6 series. After a year-long hiatus, a bigger pixel comes along and it could get the nickname Pixel 6 XL or Pixel 6 Pro. The device is said to have a 6.71-inch display (one report says it will be a P-OLED screen) with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and be powered by Google’s in-house “Whitechapel” chip. The 6 XL / Pro could contain a 48 megapixel telephoto camera.
With 5G capabilities and a screen that could be refreshed 120 times per second, a large, flagship-sized battery is in demand. And while Google has often disappointed when it comes to providing enough battery power, there are indications that a 5000 mAh battery will keep the lights on the handset.

It’s not clear how Google determines who gets invited to the community, but it is suggested that the number of Pixel phones you have bought is a factor. The invitation includes a link to a survey that asks a few questions, including one about your Made by Google device purchases. Answering the survey should only take a few minutes.

As smartphones have improved, the gaming experiences they offer have continued to improve, along with other advances. The past few years of chipset and hardware development have overseen the growth of a new category related to gaming. With phones that have pressure-sensitive buttons on the side rails or sensors that can sense the pressure on the screen, choosing a phone is harder than ever. In this guide we have nine of the best smartphone options to help you make a decision.

Asus ROG Phone 5 Ultimate

ROG Phone 5 Ultimate Best Gaming Smartphone

As the name suggests, this smartphone aims to deliver the ultimate gaming experience that a user can ask for. It bundles an FHD + sAMOLED display that is updated at 144 Hz and has a Delta-E value of less than one. Other hardware features include an additional USB-C port on the side, a stereo speaker setup, four capacitive buttons – two on the side of the phone and two on the back. The unit also comes with a cooling fan accessory that adds two to the four that are already there. As if that wasn’t enough, Asus added a tiny black and white screen on the back that can play GIFs, show who’s calling, and more. All of these components depend on a Snapdragon 888 and a 6,000mAh battery.

    Asus ROG Phone 5 Ultimate

The Asus ROG Phone 5 Ultimate is the smartphone to choose when budget doesn’t matter and you want the best gaming experience on the go.

Asus ROG Phone 5

ROG Phone 5 gaming smartphone

If the ROG Phone 5 Ultimate is a little over the top for you, the next best thing is the ROG Phone 5, which still supports the same set of accessories and has a similar FHD + 144Hz sAMOLED display. This model is also powered by the Snapdragon 888 and has a 6,000mAh battery. If you click on pictures, several reviews have found this smartphone’s camera system to be great compared to previous generations of gaming phones. To cut costs, Asus removed the two buttons embedded in the back of the ROG Phone 5 Ultimate and replaced the ROG Vision display with a glowing ROG logo.

    Asus ROG Phone 5

The Asus ROG Phone 5 is a toned down version of the Ultimate and perfect for gamers who don’t want to spend too much.

Nubia Red Magic 6

It has a 6.8-inch FHD + AMOLED panel that updates at 165Hz, has a touch sample rate of 500Hz and a response time of just 8ms as Nubia claims. Its design is as “gamer-y” as gaming phones can get. The phone is powered by a 5050mAh battery that also supports 66W charging.

    Nubia Red Magic 6

The Nubia Red Magic 6 is the smartphone for gamers who want the absolutely fastest display on the market. The 165 Hz refresh rate and 8 ms response time ensure that you won’t miss a beat in games that support this level of performance.

While this phone uses some components that are a step below the Nubia Red Magic 6, it introduces a slightly better quad rear camera setup and a 16 MP front camera, indicating that it is better suited for mainstream users .

    Nubia Red Magic 6R

Nubia Red Magic 6R is a smartphone for gamers who prefer a device with a subtle design and still show their passion for gaming when it matters.

Asus ROG Phone 3

Asus ROG Phone 3

If you’re determined to buy an Asus device, the ROG Phone 3 is another option to consider. Being a year older also means it is easy on your wallet. The device has a 6.59-inch FHD + display at 144 Hz, powered by the Snapdragon 865+ and a 6,000 mAh battery. This particular model features one of the nicer designs among ROG phones to date.

    Asus ROG Phone 3

The last generation ROG Phone 3 is the smartphone to choose when you need Asus hardware without hurting your wallet.

iQOO 7 legend 5G

iQOO 7 legend

So far, every device listed has had a touch of gaming-centric design, but with the iQOO 7 Legend 5G we are moving to phones that are more suited to mainstream consumers. This model of the Vivo subsidiary is equipped with a Snapdragon 888 to power the 6.62-inch 120 Hz AMOLED display, which also has pressure-sensitive sensors on the screen. So if you press firmly on these areas, they register a tap that can be assigned to the controls in the game. This phone’s hardware uses a 4,000 mAh battery that relies on a 66W charger to charge in a claimed 22 minutes under controlled conditions.

    iQOO 7 legend 5G

iQOO 7 Legend 5G is a phone from one of the newer players in the smartphone market. It’s perfect for those who want to play on the go and are looking for extra features – like the pressure sensitive areas of the screen.

iPhone 12 Pro Max

iPhone 12 Pro Max for Apple Arcade

The introduction of Apple Arcade and the iPhone’s computing power package make it one of the best devices for enjoying games. The A14 Bionic in the 12 Pro Max guarantees the smoothest performance of any iPhone that came out before, and the bright graphics on the 6.7-inch OLED screen (Super Retina XDR, according to Apple) make for a great experience. iOS 14.5 also includes support for new generation controllers such as the DualSense on the PS5 and the Xbox Series X | S gamepad.

    iPhone 12 Pro Max

The largest iPhone available is perfect for enjoying titles available in Apple Arcade or elsewhere. Its A14 SoC ensures that you never drop a frame and that the efficiency is kept at the maximum level.

Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra

Samsung S21 Ultra

The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra is another mainstream device that has arguably the best display on this list. This device has a QHD + AMOLED panel with a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz. The North American devices have a Snapdragon 888 that can easily handle the most demanding titles like Genshin Impact and PUBG, and a 5,000mAh battery will keep you playing for hours to let. If you’re looking for more of that best Samsung smartphone, the top-of-the-line camera system, and S-Pen support are features you will appreciate.

    Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra

Samsung’s best smartphone will end up leaving you playing for hours. The large 6.8-inch screen brings you the best fidelity of any smartphone on this list.

OnePlus 8T

Inexpensive OnePlus 8T smartphone for games

Last on this list is the OnePlus 8T, which includes a Snapdragon 865 and a 120 Hz FHD display powered by a 4,500 mAh battery with 65 W fast charge – and comes with a building block that meets this specification achieved in its retail box. It also features one of the best skins available on all of them Top Android phone on the market. You may be wondering why we recommend this over the OnePlus 9, which has a better processor, wireless charging, and a camera system that leverages the Hasselblad partnership. The main reason for this is that the 8T gives you more storage and RAM at a lower cost to ensure your gaming needs don’t go unmet.

    OnePlus 8T

This model from OnePlus’ 2020 line is the right choice as it features a 120 Hz FHD + screen backed by a 4500 mAh battery that can be charged at 65 W. The additional storage and RAM available at a lower price compared to the newer OnePlus 9 add value to gamers.

That concludes our list of the best gaming smartphone options that you should consider buying. If you are ready to spend your money without hesitation, the ROG Phone 5 Ultimate is the no-compromise option we recommend. But if you look at devices from Nubia while the Red Magic 6 has a 165Hz screen, there are still no mobile titles that can make the most of the hardware available. As such, we’d happily recommend the RedMagic 6R for its lower cost and cleaner design.

For those looking to buy a mainstream device, you can’t go wrong with the S21 Ultra, but if you’re planning on buying an iPhone and think the 12 Pro Max is too big, consider the iPhone 11 for its more affordable but powerful Hardware.

formula one hungaroring
formula one hungaroring

We are halfway through the 2021 Formula 1 season and drivers and teams will be in Hungary this weekend to witness a heated Hungarian Grand Prix and we have all the details on how to watch the race on TV or online .

The ongoing rivalry between Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton and Red Bull’s Max Verstappen came to a head at the UK Grand Prix earlier this month when the two drivers collided on the first lap of the race. While Verstappen crashed his car into the tire barrier and was rushed to the hospital, Hamilton took the podium after overtaking Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc with only three laps left in the race.

With Verstappen currently in first place with 185 points with five wins and eight podiums, victory at the Hungarian Grand Prix this weekend could be enough to catapult Hamilton from second place and back to the top of the overall standings. With a time of one minute and sixteen seconds, Hamilton also holds the best lap record on the Hungaroring that he set at the Hungarian Grand Prix last year, which gives him an advantage over Verstappen.

The Hungarian Grand Prix is held every year on the Hungaroring in Mogyoród, Hungary, and the circuit has 14 corners with a length of 2,722 miles. Drivers will complete 70 laps and cover a little over 190 miles before finishing the race. The Hungaroring is also the first Formula 1 Grand Prix behind the former Iron Curtain. In 1985, former Formula 1 group boss Bernie Ecclestone decided he wanted a race in the USSR and a friend recommended Budapest. The track was originally intended to be in Budapest’s largest park and to resemble that of the Monaco Grand Prix. However, the Hungarian government decided to build the Hungaroring outside the city near a major highway.

Whether you’ve been closely following the 2021 Formula 1 season or the Hamilton-Verstappen rivalry, we have all the details on how to watch the Hungarian Grand Prix from anywhere in the world.

Nobody likes encountering slow, unstable connections while gaming on their PS5. If you’ve checked your router and everything is fine, it could be your NAT. If you have a strict NAT type, it can prevent you from connecting to many players online, increasing game search times and making it harder to play with friends. How to change your NAT type on PS5.

How to change NAT type on PS5

First, you should check what type of NAT you actually have. If you already have an Open NAT, your problems likely have nothing to do with the NAT. If you’re working over Wi-Fi, try using one of the best Ethernet cables for PS5 for a hardwired connection instead. Here’s how you can check your NAT type:

How to check NAT type on PS5

  1. Turn on your. on PS5.
  2. Go to settings.
  3. To choose network.

    Ps5 network settings

    Source: Android Central

  4. Among Connection status, to choose View connection status

    Test Ps5 internet connection

    Source: Android Central

  5. Alternatively, you can choose Test internet connection

Either way, you will get your NAT info as well as other useful information like upload and download speeds for your PS5.

Understand NAT types on PS5

There are three types of NAT types. While the PS5 refers to it as NAT Type 1, 2, and 3, these types are more commonly referred to as Open, Moderate, and Strict. Essentially, everyone regulates which other NAT-type connections you can connect to. Open can connect to anything, Moderate can connect to Open or Moderate, and Strict can only connect to Open. We visualized it below:

If you already have NAT Type 1 or Open NAT, well done, you’re good to go. But if not, this is where it gets tricky as you have to do something called port forwarding.

NAT type on PS5: What is port forwarding?

Port forwarding is the process of opening different digital ports on your router. These ports determine the flow of Internet content to your various devices. For example, video game consoles like the PS5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S tend to use ports that are normally closed.

How to use port forwarding on PS5

To get Open NAT you must open ports on your router specifically for the PS5. The process of opening ports is different for each individual router. So we recommend looking for additional information about your router model if you are having difficulty. You need your router registration Information as well as the IP address and MAC address for your PS5. The latter two can be found under the in the steps above network PS5 Settings section.

  1. Go to yours Router login page.
  2. Sign in with your. on Needed information.
  3. Navigate to your router Port settings.
  4. Open the following ports for your PS5:
  • TCP: 1935, 3478-3480
  • UDP: 3074, 3478-3479
  1. After you have saved these settings, restart your router.
  2. Next, restart your PS5.
  3. Go through the steps above for testing the internet connection of your PS5.
  4. Your NAT type should now NAT type 1 or Open NAT.

If you continue to have problems, check these steps to make sure all of the information was entered correctly and that the settings were properly saved on your router.

Once your connection is stable again, consider using one of the best PS5 headsets when talking to your friends to make sure they can hear you loud and clear.

The X60 Pro Plus is a smartphone that is only available in limited countries, but it’s the pinnacle of what Vivo sells, and a valid competitor too Samsung phones and other Android manufacturers, both in terms of specs and design for consumer phones. On the front of the device is a 6.56-inch FHD + 120 Hz AMOLED display with a curved surface (peak brightness of 1,300 nits), supported by a 4,200 mAh battery with 55 W flash charge.

To meet your processing and storage needs, the OEM uses the Snapdragon 888 in conjunction with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Vivo also has an ongoing collaboration with lens manufacturer Zeiss to improve imaging performance periscope lens with 60x digital zoom. There is a 32 MP sensor on the front for your selfie needs.

    Vivo X60 Pro Plus 5G

The X60 Pro Plus is the best device that Vivo has to offer in its product range. The packaged Snapdragon 888 and camera system make for a great smartphone experience.

Vivo X60 Pro 5G

vivo x60 pro

The X60 Pro is, as the name suggests, another phone from the X60 series, but is a step below the Pro Plus in some hardware components. It has a similar-looking 6.56-inch FHD + 120 Hz curved AMOLED display (which doesn’t get as bright as the Pro Plus) and uses a 4,200 mAh cell. But it can only be charged with a maximum of 33W.

This model also uses an upgraded Snapdragon 870 processor (something like a newer Snapdragon 865) and bundles together 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. The camera system on this phone is very different from the Pro Plus. It only has three sensors on the back. The 48 MP sensor is the same as that of the Pro Plus and has the gimbal system and the other two are a 13 MP ultra wide and a 13 MP portrait lens. The front has the same 32 MP sensor.

    Vivo X60 Pro

X60 Pro is the second best device that Vivo unveiled in 2021. It packages the Snapdragon 870 to provide stable performance, and its camera system is just below the X60 Pro Plus.

Vivo X50 Pro Plus 5G

vivo 2020 flagship phone

Next on this list is last year’s flagship, the X50 Pro Plus. This device also has a similar 6.56-inch FHD + curved AMOLED panel and is powered by a 4,350 mAh cell. Here the charging speed is limited to 44W. The device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage. The camera system has a 50 MP primary sensor, a 32 MP portrait lens, a 13 MP wide angle macro lens and a 13 MP periscope telephoto lens. The front uses a standard 32 MP that can be seen on other phones of the brand.

    Vivo X50 Pro Plus

While the X50 Pro Plus was last year’s flagship, it still offers one of the more comprehensive feature sets in 2021. If you want a premium experience and aren’t interested in the latest specs, this is the place to go.

Vivo X50 Pro 5G

x50 gimbal phone

One notch below the X50 Pro Plus sits the X50 Pro, but don’t write it off because it has one of Vivo’s better camera configurations and it featured the first version of the X60 series gimbal system. This model features the 6.56-inch FHD + curved AMOLED panel we saw earlier, although the refresh rate is limited to 90 Hz here. The included battery is a 4,315 mAh cell, but like the X60 Pro, the charging speed is limited to 33 W.

A Snapdragon 765G, bundled with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage, ensures daily use. If you focus on the camera system, you’ll see a 48 MP main camera that uses a custom Sony IMX598 to enable gimbal functionality. This is followed by a 13 MP portrait lens, an 8 MP periscope telephoto lens (with 60x zoom) and an 8 MP wide-angle macro lens.

    Vivo X50 Pro

The X50 Pro may be a step below the Pro Plus, but it is a phone that incorporates one of the most innovative camera systems we’ve seen lately, with a gimbal system built into the primary sensor to detect irregular movements in photos or videos reduce videos.

Vivo X50 5G

vivo x50

With the import of smartphones comes a higher selling price. So if you’re looking for a Vivo device under $ 600, the standard X50 is a decent option. On the front is a flat 6.56-inch FHD + AMOLED display that updates at 90 Hz. The phone uses a 4,200 mAh cell that can quickly charge 33W, which should keep you going for a full day because of the efficient Snapdragon 765G processor.

It offers 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage, of which the high-resolution images from the rear quad camera system and the 32 MP front shooter are stored. The rear camera array includes a 48 MP wide angle sensor, a 13 MP telephoto lens, an 8 MP ultra wide angle lens, and a 5 MP macro camera.

    Vivo X50

Vivo’s flagship phones all have a curved display, but if you’ve been looking for a flat panel display without sacrificing a high-quality finish and powerful hardware, the X50 is the device of choice.

Vivo V21 5G

v21 5g phone

For those interested in the best possible front camera performance, the V21 is a phone to keep an eye out for as it has an optically stabilized 44 MP front sensor. While higher numbers don’t always result in better image quality, hardware for dealing with erratic motion that can cause noise in a photo is a welcome addition. Aside from the camera sensor, you’ll see a 6.44-inch FHD + AMOLED panel refreshing 90Hz on the front of this phone.

It uses a 4,000 mAh cell that can quickly charge 33W, and the processing on this device is the Dimensity 800U. The device has 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage for apps to work well and for storing photos you take. The rear view camera system consists of a triple array consisting of a 64 MP primary sensor supported by an 8 MP wide angle lens and a 2 MP super macro camera.

    Vivo V21

Vivo V21 is the device to choose if you are looking for a device powered by MediaTek’s line of Dimensity processors. The OIS-enabled selfie camera is also a major selling point to keep an eye on when good front camera performance is essential.

Vivo Y70

y70 4g cell phone

If you’re looking for a decent looking device without breaking the bank, the Vivo Y70 is a phone that gets the bill. It has a 6.44-inch FHD + AMOLED display and is powered by a 4,100 mAh cell with 33 W fast charge. A Snapdragon 665 processor bundled with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage copes with everyday use. The camera array on the back has three sensors, the highlight of which is a 48 MP main camera. The remaining two are a 2MP macro and a 2MP bokeh lens. On the front is a 16-megapixel shooter that can use software effects activated by Vivo’s camera algorithms.

    Vivo Y70

The Vivo Y70 is an all-round package that is worth considering if you need a good looking device that doesn’t compromise on performance and doesn’t weigh on your wallet.

Vivo Y72 5G

vivo y72

This model has a 6.58-inch FHD + LCD panel and uses a 5,000 mAh battery with 18 W fast charge. The device has a Snapdragon 480 processor with low power consumption (with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage) to extract the greatest possible screen runtime. The camera system consists of three sensors on the back, a 64 MP primary, an 8 MP ultra wide angle and a 2 MP macro lens, while the front has a 16 MP shooter.

It has a 6.51-inch HD + panel that is powered by a 5,000 mAH cell and can be charged with up to 18 W of power. The Snapdragon 460 chipset fulfills the processing requirements with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. The camera system consists of a 13 MP main lens, a 2 MP macro camera and a 2 MP bokeh sensor on the back. The front uses an 8MP shooter.

    Vivo Y20s

The Vivo Y20s is the cheapest smartphone on this list and, consistent with its price, the device is capable of handling any simple task you ask. The HD + panel and 5,000 mAh battery are also a combination that will last you a full day or more.

With that we end our compilation of the best smartphones You can shop at Vivo at a variety of prices. That X60 Pro Plus is definitely the best phone they offer and if you don’t mind their Android version it is worth considering.

Amazon's second generation Echo Show 5 is on sale for the first time

While the main meal of the The latest US smart speaker market report says Apple’s HomePod mini appears to be generating much greater demand than its full-size (and “full-price”) predecessor.

It looks like the e-commerce giant’s Echo-branded devices are just not as popular as they used to be, which could explain why the latest tiny Alexa-enabled smart display is already being discounted by a whopping $ 30.

That might not sound like a life-changing price cut … until you find out it’s no less than 35 percent of the Second Generation Echo Show 5 at $ 84.99 MSRP. What you’ll probably find very unusual about this killer deal is that it didn’t come from Amazon itself, but from Best Buy.
The third party happened to save an unprecedented $ 40 off the list price of $ 119.99 Second Generation Echo Buds also last week, and believe it or not, the versatile maker of these ultra-affordable, noise-canceling true wireless earbuds has yet to compete with its competitor’s top promotion.
In addition to selling the all-new Charcoal, Glacier White, and Deep Sea Blue Echo Show 5 for $ 54.99 each, Best Buy is also charging an all-time low of $ 44.99 (up from $ 79.99) for a First generation Echo Show 5 in charcoal or sandstone tones of your choice.
The latter model was released in 2019 and has been selling multiple times over the past few months by Amazon itself for that cool $ 35 discount. But the updated version, revealed just a few months ago, has never been devalued to this day. Not for $ 5 or $ 10 and no further Prime day.

In case you’re wondering, the first and second Echo Show 5 editions aren’t radically different, with a mediocre sounding 2MP camera replacing a terrible sounding 1MP camera on the newer device to support slightly sharper video calls.

Everything else looks unchanged, from the 5.5-inch touchscreen with a resolution of 960 x 480 pixels to the “full range” 1.65-inch built-in loudspeaker, the overall design and all known Alexa skills and voice tricks.

Google will soon end support for Gmail, YouTube, and Drive account sign-ins on old Android phones

Google no longer supports logins on Android smartphones with version 2.3.7 or lower. This change will take effect on September 27th, as shown by an email from Google to users. The email recommends that users update to at least Android 3.0 Honeycomb in order to be able to continue using Google apps after September. This affects sign-in at the system and app levels, but users should still be able to sign in to Gmail, Google Search, Google Drive, YouTube, and other Google services from their phone’s browser.

In its report, 9to5Google shared a screenshot of the email sent to users likely to be affected by this change. Very old versions of Android users are likely to be very few, and Google obviously does this to protect user data and ensure account security. Beginning September 27th, users with Android version 2.3.7 and lower will receive a “username or password error” when they try to log into a Google app loaded on their phone.

These emails seem to be a red flag for those few users who are still using the outdated software versions, telling them to either update their software or switch phones.

After September 27, users of the old version of Android will receive an error message when they try to sign in to Google products and services such as Gmail, YouTube, and Maps. They also get an error message when they try to add or create a new Google Account, or do a factory reset and sign in again. Old version of Android users will get an error message when they try to change their Google account password, which will log users out on all devices, and try to log in again. A username and password error continues to appear even if you remove the account from the device and try to add it again.

Essentially, there won’t be a workaround for users of Android v2.3.7 and lower software, and it is best to look for alternative options to continue using Google apps and services with ease.

Every weekend we meet again with my selection of 5 free or paid mobile apps and games that caught my eye in the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.

I will try to bring you the best possible apps every week that are not data thieves or microtransaction black holes. In addition to my own discoveries, I will also be recording other gems unearthed by the NextPit community and shared on our forum that I invite you to try out.

From mobile games to productivity apps, here are the top 5 free and paid Android / iOS apps, like from. presented Next pit this week.

Android 12 o’clock widget

The title is sufficiently meaningful. This app allows you to install the new Android 12 o’clock widgets and get a taste of the material you are designing if you don’t have the beta installed on your smartphone.

In the free version, the app shows advertising banners and offers a selection of widgets that is far too limited.

I preferred to pay $ 0.99 (one time purchase) to get rid of the ads and access the more visually appealing premium widgets. The application works offline, does not require an account or authorization.

  • Price: Free / Ad: Yes / In-App Purchases: $ 0.99 / Account: Not Required

You can download the Android 12 Clock Widget app from the Google Play Store.

VolEq

VolEq is an Android app that allows you to create different EQ presets based on what you hear on your smartphone and automatically adjust the sound accordingly. VolEq offers a custom mode that you can customize as you wish, as well as 3 other preset modes: Podcast, Noisy and Mild.

Basically the idea is to either increase the volume of soft sounds or decrease the volume of loud sounds to even out the audio experience and avoid having to keep changing the volume like when you’re watching a movie and having to change the volume to make it louder.

It’s like a movie, and the dialogues sound like whispers from a folk horror movie, while the action scenes obliterate your eardrums (same goes for YouTube commercials).

The app is free, but requires you to watch an ad to unlock access to features for 24 hours. And there is a paid version of the app in the Google Play Store.

  • Price: free / advertising: yes / in-app purchases: yes / account: not required

You can download the VolEq app from the Google Play Store.

Tomatoro

Tomatoro is a productivity app for Android and iOS that offers a very simple and sleek Pomodoro timer.

You can easily set the interval of your choice between 5 minutes and 1 hour and get statistics about your focus sessions and keep track of your time.

  • Price: free / advertising: no / in-app purchases: no / account: not required

You can download the Tomatoro app from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store.

Culo

Culo is a calculator and spreadsheet app that has a very bad reputation. I’ve already explained in detail how bad I am at math. But I’m sure some of you will be interested in this type of app.

Basically, Culo is a calculator app, but you can record all of your operations in spreadsheets, which are kept like a note-taking app.

Culo is also available in a paid version for $ 2.49 to get rid of ads and restore and import your spreadsheets.

  • Price: free / advertising: yes / in-app purchases: no / account: not required

You can download the Culo app (free) from the Google Play Store.

Over board!

Overboard is a game from the Inkle studio that is always responsible for premium and quality titles. Overboard is an investigation game that mixes elements from adventure, interactive graphic novel and crime thriller.

The game starts with a murder aboard the SS Hook ship, only you are the killer! Instead of investigating to find the culprit, you must exploit clues, secrets, suspects, and evidence to accuse an innocent man for you. And all with a limited amount of time to spice up the challenge.

I really like the graphic style and the visual and narrative inspirations in the game. The gameplay is a bit too contemplative for my taste and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone who hates ultra-verbose dialogues. But I think the format is quite suitable for a game that you play in the background to pass the time.

The price of $ 6.49 / $ 5.99 seems a bit high despite the obvious quality of the title. But it takes 45 minutes for a game, not longer. Of course, there are several endings that add replayability, but that’s up to you, after all.

  • Price: $ 6.49 / $ 5.99 / Advertisement: no / In-App Purchases: no / Account: not required

You can buy the game Overboard! from the Google Play Store ($ 6.49) or the Apple App Store ($ 5.99).
