Poco F3 GT will be launched in India in the third quarter of 2021, a company director has confirmed. Anuj Sharma, Country Director of POCO India, shared a 30-second video on Twitter that also shows that the smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC. In his tweet, Sharma also talks about triggers. Both hints are in line with an earlier rumor that the Poco F3 GT will be a rebranded version of the Redmi K40 Gaming Edition that is currently only sold in China. This handset has dedicated gaming triggers, the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC and up to 12 GB of RAM.

As of Sharma in his. mentioned tweet, the Poco F3 GT will hit the market in the third quarter of 2021 starting July 1st. According to a previous report, the Poco smartphone could be renamed Redmi K40 Gaming Edition.

Another report claimed that the Poco F3 GT could have a price tag of around Rs. 25,000 in India. To give some perspective, the Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition was launched at a starting price of CNY 1,999 (around Rs 22,800) for the base model with 6GB of RAM + 128GB of storage and goes up to CNY 2,699 (around Rs 30,800) ) for the 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage of the top class.

Poco F3 GT specs (expected)

The Poco F3 GT can run Android 11 with MIUI 12.5 and has a 6.67-inch Full HD + (1,080 x 2,400 pixels) AMOLED display. It is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC, but there is no information on the variants that will hit the market in India. However, if we choose the Redmi K40 Gaming Edition, we can expect up to 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of built-in storage. As for the cameras, the phone comes with a triple rear camera that has a 64-megapixel primary sensor with an f / 1.7 aperture lens, coupled with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle shooter, mega-pixel macro shooter. There should be a 16-megapixel selfie camera sensor on the front.

The Poco F3 GT is expected to have Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.2, GPS / A-GPS / NavIC and a USB Type-C port for connectivity. It can be supplied with an infrared (IR) blaster as well as a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. The phone is expected to contain a 5065mAh battery and 67W fast charge. All of these leaked specs are the same as the Redmi K40 Gaming Edition.
