Google today has the Android 12 beta for its pixel phones and thanks to ditch over 9to5Google, we now know the model numbers for some Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro variants as well as foldable for the alleged Pixel.

The outlet said it had found numerous new references for Google’s smartphone product line 2021. In particular, model numbers were found for the Japanese variants that are as follows:

  • Oriole (probably Pixel 6 Pro) – GR1YH
  • Raven (supposedly 6) – GF5KQ
  • Passport (Pixel Foldable) – GPQ72
Additionally a model number for “Barbet” which is supposed to be the one Pixel 5a 5G was also found. The Japanese variant apparently has the identifier G4S1M. The mid-ranger is expected to be announced in August, months before the premium phones. An unpublished model, code-named “Needlefish” was also found. That name first appeared in 2019 and is believed to be a broken 5G-enabled Pixel 4 model.

Pixel Foldable, Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro: Here’s what we know so far

The The foldable pixel is said to have a 7.6-inch OLED panel made by Samsung and may be available in the fourth quarter of 2021. Other specifications are not yet known.
The Pixel 6 Duo is less of a mystery. After over a year of rumors, Google seems to have confirmed the existence of the in-house Whitechapel chipset that supposedly powers the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro. The SoC appears to be known internally as the “GS101” and is manufactured by Samsung using 5 nm technology.
As if that wasn’t exciting enough, the new Pixel phones are getting a tip-off Complete design overhaul with a new design on the back surrounded by a rectangular camera bump. Other rumored changes include thinner, more even bezels, a centered hole for the front camera, and an on-screen fingerprint reader instead of the physical scanners on the current models.
The standard variant will likely have a main and an ultra-wide camera, and the Pro model is expected to have three sensors, which would be a first for Google. There is also talk of a new sensor for the main camera, but this bit has not been backed up by any reliable source.
The leaked renders and specs made us salivate and we expect the Pixel 6 to be one of the best best phones of the year. If previous releases show this, an October launch is likely.
