The month of May has been a busy month for Android fans as several new budget smartphones have been released and Google has just announced the release of the beta build of the brand new Android 12 for everything to do with smartphones in the past few weeks, here’s your chance!

Battlegrounds Mobile India for Android coming soon

South Korean game developer Krafton’s Battlegrounds Mobile India is now open for pre-registration in the Google Play Store. While the Battle Royale game is slated to hit Android in the coming weeks, there’s no information about the game’s availability on iOS. For the pre-registered user, Krafton offers four rewards – the education mask, the education outfit, the anniversary expert title and 300 AG.

Android 12 Beta 1 is now available for select devices

Google officially unveiled the Android 12 Beta 1 update at its annual Google I / O conference. The new Android operating system will include a revised design language called “Material You” that improves performance by up to 50%. Aside from the new beta version of Android, Google also talked about Project Starline, LaMDA, and more. The company also announced its biggest UI change ever, giving users two options: Adaptive Mode or Immersive Mode; Both are designed with nuances such as rounded corners to make your device feel more comfortable in the hand.

POCO brings M3 Pro 5G with Dimensity 700 SoC. on the market

POCO has launched a new 5G smartphone called the POCO M3 Pro 5G in Europe. It is available in 4 GB and 6 GB RAM variants at a price of € 179 and € 199, respectively. In addition to the specifications, the POCO M3 Pro 5G comes with a 6.5-inch LCD display with a refresh rate of 90 Hz. The Dimensity 700 SoC is hidden under the hood, paired with 4GB / 6GB RAM and 64GB / 128GB internal storage. It runs on the latest Android 11-based MIUI 12 out of the box. Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro leaked

Google will introduce the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro smartphones in the second half of the year. In the past few weeks we’ve already seen the renders of these upcoming pixel smartphones. Both devices come with a Super AMOLED display with a center hole cutout for the selfie camera. On the back, the device comes with an unusual camera bump for the rear camera setup. OPPO F17, A53, A5 2020 and A9 2020 receive ColorOS 11 beta update

OPPO has finally released the Android 11-based ColorOS 11 beta update for a range of budget smartphones in India. The list includes OPPO F17, A53, A5 2020 and A9 2020. However, the 3 GB RAM variants of the A5 2020 and A9 2020 will not receive an Android 11 update due to memory restrictions. However, the company still mentioned the schedule for the final public update for all of these devices. As of now, users will need to sign up for the beta update to test out the newer version of Android.

Samsung Galaxy M22 leaked with Helio G80

Samsung has long been rumored to be releasing the Galaxy M22 as the successor to the popular Galaxy M21 smartphone. Although there is no confirmation from the company, the specs of the device have now been leaked online. The upcoming Galaxy M22 will be powered by the MediaTek Helio G80 octa-core processor. It runs on the latest Android 11-based One UI. The device has a 48 MP rear camera and a 13 MP front camera.

Realme X7 Max and Smart TV 4K launched in India

Realme officially launched the Realme X7 Max smartphone as an upgrade to the Realme X7 Pro. It has a 120 Hz Super AMOLED display and is powered by a 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC. The device is available in 8 GB + 128 GB and 12 GB + 256 GB storage variants and costs Rs 26,999 and Rs 29,999 respectively. The company also launched the 43-inch and 50-inch 4K smart TVs with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos support. Both televisions are operated with Android 10 and have the Google Assistant hands-free function. While the 43-inch Realme Smart TV 4K costs 27,999 rupees, the 50-inch model costs a little more at 39,999 rupees.

Xiaomi presents 200 W fast charging technology

Last year Xiaomi introduced the 120 W fast charging technology. Now the company has developed the 200W HyperCharge fast charging technology. According to Xiaomi, a compatible smartphone with a 4,000mAh battery can be charged from 0 percent to 100 percent in just 8 minutes. It takes only 44 seconds for a 10 percent charge and a 50 percent charge in 3 minutes. With the company’s proprietary 120W wireless charging technology, the same device can be fully charged in 15 minutes. However, it may be a few more years before this new fast charging technology can be offered with consumer-ready devices.

Realme launches DIZO Star 300 & DIZO Star 500

Realme recently unveiled its new sub-brand called DIZO. According to the leaks, the company will soon launch two new feature phones in India. Both the DIZO Star 300 and the DIZO Star 500 Feature Phones were recently certified by the FCC. Under this new brand we could also see the DIZO Watch and DIZO GoPods D TWS earbuds. There is currently no news about the confirmed market launch dates for these new DIZO products.

Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G starts in India as POCO X3 GT

Xiaomi launched the Redmi 10 Pro 5G in China earlier this month. Following the recent leaks, the same device could soon debut in the Indian market as the POCO X3 GT. While the Redmi Note 10 Pro in India is equipped with a 120 Hz AMOLED display, the 5G variant introduced in China has a 120 Hz LCD display. While there is no confirmation, the POCO X3 GT could officially launch in the third quarter of 2021. It comes with the Dimensity 1100 chipset and runs on Android 11 from the factory. The device has a large 5000 mAh battery and supports 67 W fast charging.

OnePlus Nord CE 5G specs leaked before launch

OnePlus has officially confirmed that it will launch the Nord CE 5G (Core Edition) smartphone on June 10th in India. While the company hasn’t released the specs yet, some of them have already been leaked online. According to the leaks, the OnePlus Nord CE 5G will come with a 6.43-inch AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 90 Hz and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G mobile platform. In the camera department, the device will offer 64 MP triple rear cameras and a 16 MP front camera. iQOO Z3 5G will launch soon in India

iQOO is ready to launch a new mid-range 5G smartphone in India. The upcoming iQOO Z3 5G will cost around 25,000 rupees and will be available exclusively through Amazon India. It will also be the first smartphone in India based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 768G mobile platform. The company launched the iQOO Z3 5G in China in March of this year. On the front, the device has a 120 Hz LCD display with a water drop notch. It runs on the latest Android 11-based iQOO UI 1.0.

OnePlus introduces the WellPaper app based on digital wellbeing

OnePlus has released a new live wallpaper app for Android called WellPaper. In contrast to the conventional live background, the WellPaper comes with 3 different background images that adapt to the users’ app usage. In order to limit the battery consumption of these live wallpapers, OnePlus only updated them when the device is unlocked. Even if you unlock your device frequently, there may be a delay in updating the wallpaper. It is available free of charge for all Android smartphones from the Google Play Store.

Samsung launches Galaxy Tab A7 Lite

After Samsung was in the leaks for the past few weeks, Samsung has finally launched the Galaxy Tab A7 Lite. As the name suggests, the Galaxy Tab A7 Lite is a lighter version of the Galaxy Tab A7 from last year. It has an 8.7-inch TFT display with a resolution of 1340 x 800 pixels and is powered by a MediaTek Helio P22T octa-core processor. The Galaxy Tab A7 Lite will be available in 3 GB and 4 GB RAM variants with 32 GB and 64 GB of internal storage respectively. It runs on the latest One UI based on Android 11. So far there is no information about the start in India.
