The Mi 11 Ultra 67W fast charger will soon be launched as a separate accessory in India, Xiaomi has confirmed. The flagship smartphone debuted in the country late last month. Instead of bundling the 67W fast charger that comes in the Mi 11 Ultra’s retail box around the world, Xiaomi announced that it will bundle a 55W adapter in India due to certification restrictions. The included charger charges the phone from zero to 99 percent in one hour. This is considerably slower than the 36-minute charge time that the 67W charger is supposed to deliver.
Xiaomi has confirmed to Gadgets 360 that the 67W wired charger will be a separate purchase and is coming to India very soon. The company is currently looking into bringing the 67W charger into the country. MySmartPrice first reported on the launch of the 67W charger in the country.
Instead of bundling the new charger with the Mi 11 Ultra, the company plans to sell it separately. This is different from the Mi 11 Ultra global unit that comes with the 67W charger. This means that in India the smartphone would still have the 55W charger in its retail box.
The exact availability and price details of the 67 W fast charger have yet to be announced by Xiaomi. The Mi 11 Ultra also supports wireless charging at 67W and can wirelessly charge other devices at a speed of up to 10W.
Xiaomi launched the Mi 11 Ultra in the Indian market last month. The phone comes with a price tag of Rs. 69,999 for the solitary 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage variant. It is available in the color options Cosmic Black and Cosmic White.
The availability of the Mi 11 Ultra in India is to be announced. However, the phone was originally listed on Amazon – alongside the company’s Mi.com website.
