Apple unveiled a number of new products at its Spring Loaded event on Tuesday, April 20th. This includes new iPad Pro models and a 24-inch iMac with Apple’s M1 SoC, a new color option for iPhone 12 and 12 mini, a new Apple TV 4K streaming device, AirTag tracker and Apple Podcasts subscription. Apple also announced iOS 14.5, iPadOS 14.5, macOS 11.3, watchOS 7.4, and tvOS 14.5 during the event, which will be released next week. Here is a summary of the Indian prices for all of the products that have been featured at Apple’s biggest event of the year so far.

New iPad Pro models in 11-inch and 12.9-inch models with Apple M1 SoC were presented at the Spring Loaded event. The starting price for the 11-inch iPad Pro Wi-Fi model with 128GB of storage is Rs. 71,900 and the Wi-Fi + Cellular model starts at Rs. 85,900 for the same storage.

The 12.9-inch iPad Pro Wi-Fi model with 128GB of storage has a starting price of Rs. 99,900 while the Wi-Fi + Cellular model sells for Rs 1,13,900 with the same storage capacity. Both iPad models can be pre-ordered from April 30th and will be available from the “second half of May”.

The same pre-order and availability dates apply to the latest 24-inch iMac, which also comes with the Apple M1 SoC and comes in seven color options. The price starts at Rs. 1,19,900.

The iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini get a brand new purple color option available for pre-order starting April 23rd. The price for the iPhone 12 in India starts at Rs. 79,900 for the 64 GB memory variant and the iPhone 12 mini in India starts at Rs. 69,900 for the new color variant purple as well as all other color variants. The new color option for both models will be available from April 30th.

The Apple TV 4K with the A12 Bionic chip is listed on the Apple website for Rs. 18,900 for the 32 GB memory variant and Rs. 20,900 for the 64 GB memory variant. It can be ordered from April 30th and will be available in the second half of May

Finally, Apple also launched the AirTag tracker, which can be pre-ordered from April 23rd and goes on sale on April 30th. The AirTag costs Rs. 3,190 for a single piece and Rs. 10,900 for a pack of four.

Finally, Apple Podcasts are also being revised. Apple Podcasts subscriptions allow listeners to pay podcast creators a monthly subscription fee to access a range of benefits from ad-free episodes, additional content, and early access to episodes or exclusive series. The developers can also decide on the pricing. Podcast creators can also offer free trials and sample episodes so listeners can decide whether they think it’s worth a fee. However, developers must sign up for the Apple Podcasters program to access all of the tools required to offer premium subscriptions. It costs Rs. 1,799 per year.

Specifications for iPad Pro, iMac, iPhone 12 and 12 mini Purple

One of the most important new launches at the event was the iPad Pro with an M1 drive. It comes in two sizes – 11-inch and 12.9-inch. Both come with Liquid Retina displays, but the 12.9-inch model has an XDR mini LED display with over 10,000 LEDs. Together with the Apple M1 SoC, both iPad Pro models offer 8 GB RAM for the storage variants 128 GB, 256 GB and 512 GB and 16 GB RAM for the storage variants 1 TB and 2 TB.

The Apple M1-based 24-inch iMac has a brand new design. Like the original iMac, the new M1 iMac comes in a variety of colors – blue, green, orange, purple, red, silver, and yellow. It features a 24-inch 4.5K retina display (4,480 x 2,520 pixels) with Apple’s True Tone technology for color balance, a P3 color gamut, 500 nits of peak brightness, and a low-reflective coating.

The iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini only received one new color variant at the event. Both iPhone models launched in October 2020 run on iOS 14, are powered by Apple’s A14 Bionic and have up to 256 GB of RAM.
