Horizon Zero Dawn’s Aloy will officially find its way into Fortnite during peak season, PlayStation announced today.
In an announcement on the PlayStation blog, the company confirmed that Aloy is coming to Fortnite this week when it hits the store on April 15th. In addition to the Aloy skin, players will also receive a Blaze Canister Back Bling, Glinthawk glider and Aloy’s spearhead in the pack. Fortnite will host a special Aloy Cup as well as a time-limited mode titled “Team Up! Aloy & Lara” to mark their admission.
The game mode automatically equips players as Aloy or Lara and puts them in a duo mode, with their teammate acting as the other character. The only weapons in this mode are either a bow for the Aloy characters or twin pistols for Lara. However, players can still hunt wildlife or upgrade their weapons by normal means.
For those looking for a bit more competition, Fortnite will host the Aloy Cup on April 14th exclusively on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. This Cup will be a Duos tournament and the top performing teams in each region will unlock the Horizon Zero Dawn bundle it up before it hits the item shop and give players the chance to be the first to use the Aloy skin .

As the world of Fortnite continues to grow, tons of game legends have made their way into the game as playable characters. People like Lara Croft, Master Chief, and Kratos have all been in the game for a while, so it shouldn’t be a surprise to see Aloy on their way, especially given the current “Primal” theme that Fortnite is all about.
The only question that remains is what other legendary gaming characters, if any, will make the leap to Fortnite.
