Setting up automatic deletion of Google Assistant data is important from a privacy perspective. If you use your phone or a smart speaker, the Google Assistant stores a lot of data about you and how you use the Assistant, and you may not want Google to store it. You don’t need to have Google delete your data, but you can set it to be deleted every 3, 18, or 36 months. In particular, you can delete web and app activities as well as your audio recordings. We’ll show you how!

Once that’s done, you can set up automatic deletion in the same way for Audio recordings. It’s not a bad idea to occasionally delete data from Google. Google uses this data to personalize services (and ads), but data from 18 or 36 months ago is likely not particularly relevant to what you want to do today.
