CD Projekt RED’s open-world epic may not be the genre-defining revolution one was hoping for, but the Stadia version plays great. While the PS4 and Xbox One editions are currently suffering from terrible performance issues and tons of bugs, the Stadia version is very similar to playing on a gaming PC and arguably the best way to play the game. I really enjoyed it in my review and I’m excited to see how it gets better.

Although it’s still in Early Access, Larian’s Baldur’s Gate 3 is already developing into yet another RPG masterpiece from one of the greats of the genre. The creators of the critically acclaimed Divinity: Original Sin series have taken the reins of the legendary Dungeons and Dragons universe in this amazing festival of turn-based tactics and wonderful storytelling. It also plays great in Stadia via PC and offers surprisingly good controller support. It’s not yet available on consoles, so this is the only way to currently play the game without a gaming PC.

Ac Valhalla Lady Viking

Dawn of the Dark Age::
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla for stadiums

There have been many great Assassin’s Creed games, and many of them are in stadiums, but the youngest Valhalla is excellent in itself. It’s an epic Viking tale that puts you in the shoes of Eivor, a Viking warrior who seeks revenge and conquers the lands of England. It continues the franchise’s distraction into the open-world RPG genre, tweaking many elements to become one of the best in the entire series to date. When you sign up for Ubisoft in Stadia, you can play a ton of Assassin’s Creed games for a low subscription fee.

You can open the editor on the PC to really mess around with the nuts and bolts, or quickly and easily have fun with friends. Crayta is exactly what you want, and now it’s free for everyone and everyone in Stadia, not just Pro subscribers.

Evade death::
Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice for Stadiums

Stadia may not have any of the Dark Souls games yet, but you can enjoy From Software’s latest foray with Sekiro who refined the formula to a sharper edge. This game really pushes Stadia to its limits as a platform, as the demands on the split-second timing for parrying and attacking are very high. It’s a great game, but not when your internet connection is far from solid.

Terraria Stadia screenshot cave

Pixel perfect crafting::
Terraria for stadiums

At first glance, it’s pretty easy to write off Terraria as just another Minecraft clone, but this time with 2D pixel art visuals. While it’s true on the surface, Terraria actually has a lot more to offer than meets the eye. In all respects, the Stadia version is a perfect port of the excellent sandbox survival game without compromise as its corresponding console counterparts. But it might still not be for you if you aren’t into extremely overt crafting games.
